සරුබිම පැල නිෂ්පාදකයින්ගේ සංගමය
මහනුවර දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ කෘෂිකර්ම උපදේශක කොට්ඨාශ 05ක (බෝවල,තලාතුඔය, යටිවාවල,ගිරාගම,ඒදඩුවාව) පැල තවාන් කරුවන් සියල්ලම එකතුකර සරුබිම නමින් පැල නිෂ්පාදකයින්ගේ සංගමයක් ආරම්භ කර ඇත. එම සංගමයට මූලික අවශ්‍යතාවයක්ව පැවති නිෂ්පාදන අලෙවිකර ගැනීමේ ස්ථානයක් කෘෂිකර්ම අමාත්‍යාංශයේ මැදිහත්වීමෙන් ගැටඹේ කර්මාන්ත අමාත්‍යාංශ පරිශ්‍රය ආසන්නයේ ආරම්භ කරන ලදී. මෙම ස්ථානයේ සියළුම රෝපන ද්‍රව්‍ය, පැල හා බීජ, පොහොර වර්ග, අනෙකුත් කෘෂිකාර්මික යෙදවුම් (කෘෂි උපකරණ, මල්පෝච්චි යනාදි) මිලදී ගත හැකිය. ඉදිරියේදී කෘෂිකර්ම දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ නිෂ්පාදිත පැල හා බීජ නියෝජිත ආයතනයක් ලෙසද මෙම සංගමයට කටයුතු කිරීමට අවස්ථාව සලසා දෙනු ලැබේ.
මෙම අලෙවි මධ්‍යස්ථානය පළාත් කෘෂිකර්ම ලේකම් තුමාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් හා කෘෂිකර්ම දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ නිලධාරීන්ගේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් විවෘත කරන ලදී.
පේරාදෙණිය දුම්රිය ස්ථානයේ රුක් රෝපණ වැඩසටහන
පේරාදෙණිය දුම්රිය ස්ථානය පරිසර හිතකාමී ස්ථානයක් ලෙස සංවර්ධනය කිරීම අරමුණු කරගෙන අමාත්‍යාංශයේ පරිසර අංශය මඟින් රුක් රෝපණ වැඩසටහනක් 2022/09/26 දින ක්‍රියාත්මක කරනු ලදී.
විශේෂයෙන්ම පරිසරයට අලංකාරයක් එක්කරනු ලබන ගස් වර්ග රෝපනය කිරීමත්, දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව හා එ්කාබද්ධ වැඩසටහනක් ලෙස අඛණ්ඩව ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමටත් ගීරණය විය. මෙහිදී මෙම වැඩසටහන ඉතාමත් කාලෝචිත වැඩසටහනක් බව මධ්‍යම පළාත් ගරු ආණ්ඩුකාරවර ලලිත් යූ ගමගේ මැතිතුමා ප්‍රතාශ කරන ලදී. මෙම වැඩසටහන පසුගිය වර්ෂය තුල සිදු කරන ලද පරිසර අංශයේ සාර්ථක වැඩසටහනකි.
Benefits of Central Provincial Agricultural Development to Farmers
Parallel to the celebration of two years in position of the honorable Governor to the Central Province, on the 2021/12/15, the District Deputy Director of agriculture (Kandy) office distributed the benefits to the farmers who are the beneficiaries of the development programmes conducted in Agriculture Development Plan - 2021.
Hon. Governor to the Central Province, hon. Chairman of Medadumbara P.S., the coordinating secretary of the Hon. Governor, Secretary to the Governor, Secretary to d Agriculture ministry, Deputy chief secretary (administration ) ,provincial director of agriculture and his staff were attended to this occasion.
25 students of NVQ (level 4) who passed out from the Nawayalathenna District Agriculture Training Centre were also given certificates at this occasion.
Benefits for the Fisheries Community in the Central Province for the Development Program 2021
Granting of Benefits by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries to the Fisheries Community in the Central Province for the Development Program for the Year 2021 Led by Hon. Governor, Central Province, Mr. Lalith U Gamage,and participated chief secretary. Held at the Central Provincial Ministry of Agriculture on 14.10.2021. On this occasion, a website developed by the Central Provincial Ministry of Agriculture to market agricultural products was officially launched by the Hon. Governor.
World Environment Day 2021
This year, under the strict travelling restrictions and health guidance enforced due to the spread of Covid 19 epidemic all over the world , a “tree planting programme” was conducted at the Agriculture Training Centre premises in Nawayalathenna to mark the celebration of the Environment Day -2021.
The Chief Secretary to the Central provincial Council, Mr.Gamini Rajarathne , The Secretary to the Provincial Ministry of Agriculture, Mrs. L.A. Sujatha Wijesinghe, the Provincial Director of Agriculture Mr.Ranathunga Bandara ,Kandy district Deputy Director (Agriculture), Farm manager of Nawayalathenna Agriculture Training Centre, and Officials from the provincial Ministry of Agriculture were participated at this event.
On this special day, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is planning to draw the attention of the entire world on the necessity of protecting the environment under the theme of “Ecosystem Restoration” – Reimagine, Recreate, Restore
Poojaniya Dalada Sanskruthiya 2020
The 15th edition of the book “Poojaniya Dalada Sanskruthiya” printed under the “parisaraya Poojaniyai” program implemented by the Central Provincial Ministry of Agriculture and Environment was presented to His Excellency the President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa on 04.08.2020 by the Hon. Governor, Central Province
Community Awareness Radio Program
Community awareness radio programs organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of the Central Province were broadcast live on Kandurata service on 15th, 22nd and 29th of March, 2020 in parallel with the World Environment Day. Governor of Central Province, Lalithu Gamage, Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Central Province Mrs. Sujatha Wijesinghe, Provincial Director of Agriculture, Provincial Director of Animal Production and Assistant Secretary (Development) of the Ministry participated.
The program addresses topics such as biodiversity and plant conservation in Sri Lanka, the use of fertilizer and soil conservation and environmental conservation in Sri Lanka.

Dalada Sramadanya (Kandy City Cleaning Programme) - 2019.07.29

On 18.04.2018 Instrument of western band, furniture for libraries computers duplo machines were distributed to the tamil medium schools in the Gampola education zone with the presence of Hon. Minister M Rameshwaran & Hon. Members in the provincial council as well as the secretary and staff of the ministry.

On the 12th & 13th of may 2018 , Hindu Deva Statues, Electric Melams , plastic chairs & brass bells were distributed to Hindu kovil's in Kotagala, Kandapola,Agarapathana,Thalawakele, Maskeliya, Ambagamuwa, Norwood areas with presence of Hon. Minister M Rameshwaran & Hon. Members in the provincial council secretary of the ministry and other officers were also presented at this event.

This was carried out in two steps. One group was engaged in cleaning the roadsides from Ginigathhena to Nallathanniya & other group was directed for collect the garbage from "Padmaya" to Nallathanniya
